Tracey Aldous

2016 was the year I first picked up a paint brush but the turning point for my art was the lockdown of 2020 when I started to paint at home.

Working primarily in oils and acrylics, with occasional mixed media pieces, my paintings are characterised by a love of colour and atmosphere, creating paintings that are both vibrant and engaging.

My work is usually done from life or from my own photographs, which gives me a starting point for interpretation. Nothing gives me for more pleasure than experimenting with new techniques and materials, ensuring that I continually challenge myself to explore different approaches.

A regular exhibitor throughout Surrey and the surrounding areas, I am a member of Guildford Art Society, Woking Art Society, Dorking Group of Artists, Surrey Contemporaries, Surrey Hills Plein Air & Surrey Artists Open Studios. In addition, I was selected to take part as a Wildcard Artist for Landscape Artist of the Year which aired early in 2026.
