Guildford Art Society Celebrates 100 Years with Annual Summer Exhibition

The Guildford Art Society is delighted to invite art lovers, collectors, and the local community to this year's Annual Summer Exhibition, taking place from Friday 31 July to Sunday 9 August at St John's Community Centre, Merrow.
This year's exhibition is particularly special as we celebrate 100 years of exhibiting, marking a century of supporting artists and sharing creativity across Guildford and the surrounding area.
Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a diverse collection of original artwork created by talented Guildford Art Society members, showcasing a wide range of styles, subjects, and techniques. Whether you're an experienced collector, looking for inspiration, or simply enjoy discovering local art, there's something for everyone to enjoy.
The celebrations begin with our Private View, where we are honoured to welcome several distinguished guests, including acclaimed artist Mary Branson, Deputy Mayor Dominique Williams, and our President, Jane Allison.
During the evening, seven prizes and awards will be presented to exhibiting artists, including a generous £100 George Weil voucher, kindly donated in celebration of our centenary year.

The Guildford Art Society Summer Exhibition is free to attend and open to everyone, making it the perfect opportunity to discover local artists, support the creative community, and perhaps even find a unique piece of original artwork to take home.
