Please look at the Programme for 2021 below to see what is now planned already. The Programme will be updated during the rest of the year and referred to in our new newsletter called the GAS Pipeline.
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY GROUPS - These weekly meetings have a friendly and learning environment.
Call or email the organiser to join in. Again during the pandemic these may not happen as physical events.
Thursday Group: At St Catherine's Village Hall. - Cathy Brook, 01483 420633 firstname.lastname@example.org
Unfortunately, due to the current Covid-19 circumstances, the Thursday Art Group at St Catherine's Hall is not going to be meeting for the autumn 2020 term. It is hoped that the group might resume sometime in 2021.
Friday Group: The venue is Shalford Village Hall, Kings Road, GU4 8JE - Annmarie Shenton email@example.com
Friday Group News from Annemarie: Dear Friday Group, The HMG's new rule of "6" people only for social gatherings means we cannot run our normal Friday meeting at Shalford. We will restart when we can.
In more normal times the hours are 9.30 to 12.30 with a break at about 10.30. The fee for the term is £30, plus £3 per session if you work from the model. This is to pay the model. Members can bring whatever materials they prefer – pencils or charcoal and paper, pastels, watercolours, acrylics or oils. The oils' solvent should be odour free. Monica is stepping down as talent wrangler so if anyone would like to take over that job it would be appreciated. I'm going to try my best to get models when we return but in the event that I can't, we could do still life drawing. An artist could sit and get paid for the day. If anyone can rope their husbands into doing it that would be great.
Programme - Video Demonstrations, Jan to June 2021
Live talks and demonstrations will be at St. Catherine's Village Hall, Chestnut Avenue, Guildford GU2 4HF from 2.30 - 4.30 pm, usually on Saturdays once we can arrange them beyond Covid-19 restrictions. Members are asked to contribute £2 to each meeting (refreshments are free). Members may bring guests on payment of £3 per person.
