Thursday Group: At St Catherine's Village Hall. - Cathy Brook, 01483 420633  brookyc@googlemail.com

Unfortunately, due to the current Covid-19 circumstances, the Thursday Art Group at St Catherine's Hall is not going to be meeting for the autumn 2020 term. It is hoped that the group might resume sometime in 2021.

Friday Group: The venue is Shalford Village Hall, Kings Road, GU4 8JE - Annmarie Shenton amsonart@gmail.com

Friday Group News from Annemarie: Dear Friday Group, The HMG's new rule of "6" people only for social gatherings means we cannot run our normal Friday meeting at Shalford.  The dates for the Shalford Village Hall this term were Sept 18, 25, Oct 2nd, 9th,16th, 23rd and Nov 6th & 13th, 20th, 27th but now these will not happen.

Monica is stepping down as talent wrangler so if anyone would like to take over that job it would be appreciated.  I'm going to try my best to get models when we return but in the event that I can't, we could do still life drawing. An artist could sit and get paid for the day. If anyone can rope their husbands into doing it that would be great.

In more normal times the hours are 9.30 to 12.30 with a break at about 10.30.  The fee for the term is £30, plus £3 per session if you work from the model. This is to pay the model.  Members can bring whatever materials they prefer – pencils or charcoal and paper, pastels, watercolours, acrylics or oils. If oils the solvent should be odour free. An easel is useful but not essential as one can use two chairs.
