Winter Warmer at the Guildford Pavilion is Back: Experience Art and Community at the Heart of Guildford
A feast for the eyes is coming your way! Join the Guildford Art Society for our Winter Warmer exhibition at the Pavilion Sports Ground from Tues the 13th to Sun the 18th of February. Immerse yourself in a world of awe-inspiring art and take home your favourite pieces at affordable prices.
The exhibition opens 12pm – 5 pm on Tuesday the 13th of February and from 10-5pm daily Weds 14th to Sunday the 18th of February. Free entry and parking.
A small peak at what you can expect to see at the exhibition:
Sinclair Webster, our Committee Chair, has developed his original style and has been widely exhibited. His work has a strong graphic base and a bold palette. There are a lot of European influences, reflecting his mother’s Flemish background, and the subject matter is diverse.
“My ideas start with drawings capturing emotionally charged images…sometimes a sketch will resurface into a painting years later. Shapes and the rhythms between them have always fascinated me….areas of flat colour are varied by the texture of brushstrokes and I am always experimenting, aiming for images that are charismatic”
Guildford Art Society is set to host its second exhibition at the Pavilion since the triumphant event held in March 2019. Unfortunately, the global pandemic hindered our ability to organise any further events there until now. Despite this, we have been working diligently behind the scenes to ensure that this upcoming exhibition surpasses our last memorable event in terms of quality, intrigue, and success.
